🐱 Join Us in Celebrating the Sunny Isles Beach Community Cat Program! 🐱
The City of Sunny Isles Beach Community Cat Program is making a difference, thanks to its dedicated volunteers and compassionate approach to caring for our local feline population.
What is the Community Cat Program?
This innovative initiative uses the T.N.V.R. process—Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Return—to humanely manage the city’s community (feral) cat population.
🐾 Cats are safely trapped and provided with expert veterinary care.
🐾 They are neutered, vaccinated, and treated with compassion before being returned to their colony.
🐾 A small ear tip snip serves as a mark that they have been treated.
Why It Matters
Studies show that each neutered cat can prevent up to 8 kittens from being born over its lifetime, leading to a 30–40% reduction in feral cat populations within just a few years! This approach not only protects animals but also promotes a healthier community environment.
How You Can Help
Though this is a City of Sunny Isles Beach program, many dedicated volunteers personally purchase food and supplies to care for the community cats. Your support can help ease their efforts and ensure the well-being of these animals. The program is currently in need of wet and dry cat food to continue providing essential care.
YOU CAN DROP OFF YOUR CAT FOOD DONATION AT THE DONATION BOX AT GOVERNMENT CENTER.
🐾 Donate food – Your contributions directly support the health and well-being of these cats.
🐾 Volunteer your time – Join our amazing team and make an impact!
🐾 Spread awareness – Share this initiative with others who love animals!
